Constantine

I've actually seen this movie once before, it was so good I just had to see it again.. and the second time was a bit better cuz I understand it a little more. The acting from Keaunu Reeves was just horrible but everything else about the movie was excellent.

I like the fact that they had a lot of bible related stuff in this movie. They gave out a message that you cannot buy your way into heaven, the only way you can go to heaven is by trusting in God and believing in him. The only thing that kindda annoyed me was that Satan appeared in this movie but God didn't. However this movie pretty much talked about God and Satan. so why no God? even the arch-angel Gabriel appeared.

This movie pretty much had it all. Action, Suspense, horror, and a bit of comedy. I would probably give this movie 8.5 out of 10 stars.

Plot: John Constantine is the Exorcist who has been to hell and back, and who's soul is sentenced to hell. He has been deporting demons to get on good terms with God, yet God wants self sacrifice. After the mysterious suicide of a cops twin, Angela goes out in search of the truth. Together, Constantine and Angela battle the Demons on earth.

Belly of the Beast

This is probably the only Steven Segal movie worth watching. hahaha.. yeah all his movies suck so far except this one. To be honest, I like Steven Segal as a martial artists but his movies aren't that great. This is guy has surpassed the 5th degree black belt in Aikido. However, you can't really blame him.. aikido doesn't really look that good on camera. Not like Kung Fu, Karate, Kickboxing, or Capoeira. Make no mistake though, you wouldn't want to piss off and attack someone that's well trained in Aikido.. they can be very deadly.

This movie had great action, I mean like Hong Kong action, it's also directed by a very famous Hong Kong martial artist, Ching Siu Tung. If you're a fan of action movies, you'll love this movie. This movie actually makes Aikido look good. I say this is like the Steven Segal version of "Ong Bak". There isnt' really much of a story to it, but it doesn't need one.. you can just enjoy it for the action.

plot: An ex-CIA agent's quest to find his kidnapped daughter leads him on a trail of political intrigue, corruption, danger and betrayal; he will stop at nothing to save her

The Ring Two

This movie wasn't as good as the first one . In fact, it wasn't that good at all. I mean it had some errie parts to it, but mostly just stuff that makes you jump (loud sound effects, creepy noises, creepy images and stuff like that. Yeah the story of the movie was creepy but then a lot of stuff was too predictable, and a lot of stuff was very repetitive, like when the people die and their face is all rotted and messed up, now the first time when I saw that which was in The Ring 1, the girl in the closet creeped me out so bad. However in this movie they just kept using that same image over and over again.

as a horror fan, I wouldn't say this is the best, but it's worth watching once I guess. However beofre you watch this one you should really watch the first one first. It'll make a lot more sense and the story will be a bit more interesting.

Keep in mind that the girl who plays the ghost "Samara" is the girl who does the voice for Lilo in the movie "Lilo and Stich".

Plot: Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts) and her son Aidan (David Dorfman) have relocated to the quaint mountain town of Astoria, Oregon, where Rachel has found a new job at the local Astoria Gazette, working alongside reporter David Rourke (Simon Baker). The discovery of a local teenage homicide whilst scanning the electronic Astoria Police archives prompts Rachel to uncover the truth behind it. Before long, Rachel has linked the homicide to the mysterious video tape. When Rachel is within reach of uncovering the secret, she finds and then destroys the killer videotape. Bad move. Soon after, Aidan is hospitalized; unconscious, perilously cold, and bruised. Rachel suspects this is the act of the vengeful ghost Samara Morgan, but the local physician, Dr. Emma Temple, suspects otherwise. Having being blamed for child abuse and looking guilty as sin, Rachel returns to Seattle to dig deeper into the past of the ghostly Samara who is apparently trying to re-enter corporeal existence by using Aidan as a conduit/host. Will the secrets Rachel uncovers solve problems, or will they end more lives?

Minority Report

This is the first time Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg worked together I think. They're second time was of course another good movie called "War of the Worlds".

Wow.. I never knew Spielberg could make such a great action movie, usually his styles are War or Alien stuff. Rarely this kind of movie. This not only had a very interesting storyline about the future but also action packed. I would really recommand action fans to see this one if you haven't.

I really like movies that talk about the future.... maybe in the future it could be like this movie... where you can predict a crime before it happens and prevent it... now wouldn't that be a nice change for the world? A crime free place.

Plot: In the year 2054, a so-called "pre-crime division" is working around Washington, DC. Its purpose is to use the precog(nitive) potential of three genetically altered humans to prevent murders. When the three precogs, who only work together, floating connected in a tank of fluid, have a vision, the names of the victim and the perpetrator as well as video imagery of the crime and the exact time it will happen, are given out to the special cops who then try to prevent the crime from happening. But there is a political dilemma: If someone is arrested before he commits a murder, can the person be accused of the murder, which - because of the arrest - never took place? The project of pre-crime, at the time being in a state of trial run, is going to be voted about in the near future. If people accept it, the crime rate is going to drop drastically, but it never will be known if there might not be too many people imprisoned, some or even all of them innocent. After John Anderton lost his son to a crime a six years ago, he took up drugs, and works the precog division like nobody else. One day, his own name arrives in the "perpetrator" chute, and the precogs predict that he will kill a man he never knew in less than 36 hours. John takes off, his trust in the system diminishing rapidly. His own colleagues after him, John follows a very small trace that might hold the key to his innocence, a strange unsolved yet predicted murder and a so-called "minority report", a documentation of one of the rare events in which a precog sees something different than the other two.

Paycheck

So Clem just can't get enough of his movies, so I've decided to watch another one the very same day I watched "The Terminal".. I decided to watch the movie "Paycheck"

well... to tell you the truth, for an action movie, it wasn't that great. They did have a very interesting story, but this time the action just didn't help the movie a bit. It's directed by John Woo , one of the greatest action movie director when it comes to guns. This movie however had very little action and very little guns. The only thing I liked about this movie was the explosion at the end. John Woo could do a lot better, but for some reason he didn't live up to the movie this time. As well as Ben Affleck.

I would advice John Woo's fans to stay away from this one. In my opinion the best John Woo films right now are "Hardboiled", "The Killer", "A better Tomorrow", "face/off" and "Mission: Impossible 2"

I'll put the plot down for anyone who plans to see it. I agree that the story is interesting, but the action just sucked.

Plot: Jennings (Ben Afleck) is the best reverse-engineer in the business. He is hired by clients to take apart other companies technologies and find out how they work. He is hired to do a special job, against the advice of some of his associates. When the job is completed, all memory of what he has been working on is ereased from his mind. That's when his problem really start to begin. He is hunted for something he has no recollection of doing and has only a little time to work it out. He has sent himself 19 seemingly unconnected objects, before his memory was wiped, to allow him to put the puzzle together and discover just what has gone on and what he has done. But the authorities are after him and time is very quickly running out.

The Terminal

so I've decided to pick out another old movie to watch again, and this time it was "The Terminal" with Tom Hanks and Cathrine Zeta-Jones.directed by Steven Spielberg

this movie had some pretty good acting by Tom Hanks, and of course very good directing and cinematography by one of the greatest directors in the world Steven Spielberg. However I gotta say this isn't really my kind of movie so my review might not be as helpful as the other ones this time.

Don't get me wrong. This movie is pretty good, but it just doesn't seem like Steven Spielberg's work. I expect Spielberg to do stuff like War and Alien movies and all that. This was very unexpected. This movie is quite funny actually, there a lot of funny jokes and just for laugh comedy in it. The Romance makes the movie a bit more interesting too.

Plot: Viktor Navorski, a man from an Eastern European country arrives in New York but after he left his country; war broke out and because of that Navorski is a man without a country that the U.S. can recognize, thus he is denied entrance to the U.S. However, he also can't be deported so he is told by the Security Manager that he has to remain in the airport until his status can be fixed. And also Navorski doesn't speak English well, so noone can talk to him and he can't talk to anyone. But he somehow adapts and sets up residence in the airport, which makes the man who placed him there unhappy cause, it seems he is line for a promotion but Navroski's presence might complicate that. So he tries to get Navorski to leave but Navorski remains where he is. Navorski makes friends with some of the people who work in the airport and is attracted to a flight attendant he runs into whenever she comes in.

Mission: Impossible 2/ Intro to Mission:Impossible 3

so I was looking through my DVD/VCD collection just to see how much movies I've collected up to date, and I believe I counted 1138, I was actually surprise that I had that much movies. As I was counting I saw my Mission: Impossible 2 DVD, and I realized that I haven't seen this film in a while, so I decided to pop it in my DVD player and watch it.

I have read reviews , and people say that Mission: Impossible 2 wasn't as good as the first one, however in my opinion this was way better than the first one. It is just the fact that this movie starts off very slow and it's a bit boring for the first half, but it's all worth it for the action at the end. I never knew Tom Cruise could fight like that, it was probably a stuntman or something but still, they managed to make the fights and the gun scenes look very stylish. It's what diretor John Woo is about, great gun action. I don't know who the stunt and fight director was but they were excellent as well.

plot: IMF agent Ethan Hunt has been sent on a mission to retrieve and destroy the supply of a genetically created disease called 'Chimera'. His mission is made impossible due to the fact that he is not the only person after samples of the disease. He must also contest with a gang of international terrorists headed by a turned bad former IMF agent who has already managed to steal the cure called 'Bellerophon' and now need 'Chimera' to complete their grand plan of infecting the whole world. In order to infiltrate and locate the terrorist group he relies on the help of an international thief Nyah of whom he quickly develops a love interest. Time is not only running out for Agent Hunt to find and destroy 'Chimera' before the terrorists get their hands on it, but he must also find 'Bellerophon' so as to save his love interest who has already become infected by the disease from a terrible and rapid death.

for those of you who are Mission Impossible fans, or just a Tom Cruise fan, you'll be happy to know that Mission: Impossible 3 is on it's way and filming right now. My sources tell me that the movie should be in theatres around May 5th or May 6th 2006. Unfortunetly I have not yet been able to to find out what the plot is. People will just have to wait I guess. I will post down the plot as soon as I can find it

The Exorcism of Emily Rose

wow... haven't updated in a while. I went to Hong Kong and then when I came back I forgot that I had blogger. hahaha.

anyways. The lastest movie I've seen was "The Exorcism of Emily Rose". I thought this movie was better than all the other exorcist but in a way you can't really compare it to the first original exorcist because that was considered a "classic". The Exorcism of Emily Rose over all was a very good movie.

There horror movies that make people jump and shocked while watching it in the theatre but when you leave the theatre you'll wonder why you were so scared. Then, there are horror movies that just gives you the creeps even as you leave the theatre and when you sleep at night. I say this movie was psychologically scary, and the fact that it was based on a true story makes it even more scarier.

doesn't really matter if you're catholic, christians, muslim, hindu or even atheous. Exorcism is very real. I can see how people would doubt it and call it a myth or what not, because it's just one of those things you have to see for yourself...

I have seen priests preform an exorcism in real life, and I have to say it's nothing like the movies but it's close enough. I've seen it once and I hope I never have to see it again.

all I can say is stay away from Ouija Boards, or anything that might welcome Satan to this world.

this movie is actually based on the story of a girl named Anneliese Michel, they changed the name to Emily Rose to avoid lawsuits.

plot: A bitter and repressed single lawyer (Laura Linney) takes on the church and the state when she fights for the life of a priest who performed a deadly exorcism on a young woman. Linney must battle the cocky state lawyer as well as her own lonliness, as she realizes that her career so far has not fulfilled her, nor is she happy in her job on a day to day basis.
